How can we help each other?

Climate-Change-PolicyAfter the State Government disbanded the Tasmanian Climate Action Council last year, Climate Tasmania was set up by some of the members of the former Council.

Our members are concerned professionals who have a diverse range of expertise, spanning scientific, legal, economic, health, social and policy aspects of climate change.

Now we are keen to begin engaging actively with business, government and community to contribute to the understanding of climate change and to the crafting of appropriate responses in Tasmania. So here’s an opportunity for you to question and contribute.

Please join us in the first of a series of Climate Forums:

6 – 7.30
Tuesday 31 March
Aurora Theatre
IMAS Building,
Castray Esplanade.

*** Light refreshments will be served from 5.30 pm, so do come and chat with us early.

The program will include a science and impacts update from climatologist Dr James Risbey and policy update and options from economist Phil Harrington.

Then there will be ample time for your questions to all of the Climate Tasmania members and your answers to our questions:

‘What can Climate Tasmania do to support climate change action?
‘How can we help you?’

A reminder flyer is below and downloadable here.

To assist us with catering and seating please RSVP to Climate Tasmania

We look forward to seeing you.
